Bradley Vista

An intensive outpatient program for teens struggling with substance use and mental health — delivered online, three afternoons a week.

Most teens who develop a substance use problem are also dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or another mental health condition. Treating one without the other rarely works. Vista treats both together.

Care that fits into a real week

Vista meets on Zoom Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. There's no drive, no waiting room, and no school missed for travel. Teens practice what they're learning in their actual lives, at home, between sessions.

What your teen gets each week

Individual therapy at least twice a week, with a therapist we work to match well. Family therapy at least once a week with you. Three group sessions a day, teaching concrete skills for handling cravings, difficult emotions, and hard conversations. And regular contact with our nurse practitioner or psychiatrist about whether medication would help — including coordinating with a prescriber your teen already sees.

Most teens are with us between one and four months. When it's time, we help arrange what comes next, usually weekly outpatient therapy, so the progress holds.

What you’ll need

A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera, and a quiet, private space where your teen can talk without being overheard. Teens stay on camera during sessions. Interpreters are available.

Some teens also do a weekly urine drug screen at a Brown University Health lab.

How we work

Teens arrive at very different places. Some want to change. Some aren't sure they have a problem, and came because a parent or a school insisted. Both are welcome here.
