Dr. Jamie Parnes received his doctoral degree in counseling psychology from Colorado State University in 2021. He completed his clinical residency at the Alpert Warren Medical School of Brown University. Using innovative technologies and advanced statistical methods, he hopes to improve adolescent substance use treatment by identifying treatment mechanisms and for whom treatment is most effective, particularly for cannabis use disorder. Additionally, Dr. Parnes is interested in examining how identities (e.g., LGBTQ+) relate to substance use outcomes to improve treatment in underserved populations. Alongside his research, Dr. Parnes serves as a clinician at Bradley Vista for dozens of families with adolescents who struggle with substance use.
